Lots of jobs we just need some confidence

Working in recruitment keeps you in touch with the market - it’s the life blood of the business. It is an odd time at the moment because there are lots of jobs and lots of candidates looking for jobs it just the marriages in middle of an offer and acceptance are not quite as plentiful- odd!

Recruiter which is the leading magazine for the recruitment industry has some great articles at the moment with some bullish figures:

  • 70% of recruitment firms recorded an increase in turnover in the first half of 2010 and 85% won new contracts during this period.
  • 58% of recruitment firms expect their business to expand in the first six months of 2011.

I like the sound of that. There are also some interesting comments featured about David Cameron’s strive for something called StartUp Britain which I would imagine is one of those great sounding government initiatives that when you get near it gets lost in the detail. When entrepreneurs start businesses they want solutions not paperwork and forms.

Lots of new jobs around this week like our International focused Account Manager with German and French languages based in London. (please see previous blog.)

New one in this week is a specialist from the Travel Sector.
