Royal Wedding - The boost the UK needs?
I don’t know about you but I used to be a real anti-royal sceptic but in typical turn coat fashion as I am now running a business that is effectively dependent on the market and it’s buoyancy I am really hoping that the Royal Wedding may well be a real winner for UK plc. They are, absolutely, a great looking couple and I really hope Charles steps aside and lets these two do their thing - King and Queen!
They are young, successful and good looking a great advert for Great Britain and gives everyone something to celebrate. As a seriously hot export, you saw how Prince William is received around the world - he’s definitely got the Diana touch, these two have a great chance to define UK’s young and attractive position as a great country with a strong ethic and robust economy.
Ideally it’s not great news that we have a double bank holiday as everyone I think, myself included is likely to take an opportunity of a nice break! However the fact that on the 29th April the whole country or most of the country will join together to celebrate a great day will I hope mean that we return to work with a greater sense of togetherness that might pull the country up by its boot straps and get on with the business of some better growth figures.
Whatever your feeling towards the big day - let’s hope it picks up business.
The job market from what I can see has picked up a little in the last week. As I have said in recent weeks in my blog its definitely not ‘game over’ in the UK jobs market but expectations from clients have risen. This means candidates must make themselves even more marketable than before.
A job of note this week comes from the travel sector in deed one of the big cruise companies. So if you have a planning, IT, project management or finance background from the travel sector we definitely want to hear from you. Ideally you will have worked within Travel with Air and Sea teams as you will need to fully understand all Air/Sea process(s), overcome issues and suggest and deliver enhancements.
More details are hear Air Requirements Executive-International.
