Fusion Recruitment chooses Apple

Fusion Recruitment has put made significant upgrades to its’ IT infrastructure and have choosen Apple as its’ preferred IT partner. According to Director Graham Saunders, “It was incredible, both directors at Fusion used to spend up to an 1 hour each day waiting for XP running laptops to open and update and then close at the end of day. It was a complete waste of time and a serious source of frustration. After a hard days recruitment the last thing you want to do is sit and stare at the laptop waiting for updates!”

Following advice from an external business consultant who has been using Apple products for a number of years both directors are now running Mac book Pros. The business has seen some real improvements. Graham found some significant benefits, “Searching on a Mac is wholly different experience to that of a windows pc. There is something called ‘spotlight’ which effectively allows you to search on a particular term and will report back each relevant piece of information. For example, if a candidate calls me and asks about a position I can instantly find their CV and indeed the corresponding email in a second.

The second real benefit we are seeing is using Imail - The email client native to a Mac. This is a much better experience than that of an MS Outlook. For example, in recruitment we tend to view countless CVs and the Mac has something called ‘Quick Look’. This allows us to view the CV without even opening an email which is a considerable time saver. The Imail experience is a cleaner experience too. Although the investment at the outset is higher with Macs I expect the payback to be very quick.”

Fusion will now role out Mac books to all new recruitment consultants joining the company.
