Purpose of Role: To effectively plan and implement high impact marketing campaigns and drive show content for the Decorex International, Interiors UAE & Gulf Landscaping events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning: Plan and implement integrated marketing plans to include product positioning and long term strategy which are agreed to by the relevant Event Director and Group Marketing Manager.

2. Brand Management: Participate in and manage brainstorming sessions at the outset of each campaign to develop ideas and potential concepts for each show in order to write detailed creative briefs. Manage the creative process and copywriting to produce high impact campaign communications that promote strong brand identity and awareness (in conjunction with the GMM).

3. Campaign Management: Manage event marketing activity to ensure targeted, creative and cost effective campaigns are delivered that achieve improved results. Effectively manage central services personnel, creative agency, registration house, media partners and other market driven relationships for maximum business benefit.

4. Analysis: Committed and able to analysis responses and effectiveness of all campaign aspects to drive the evolvement of campaigns.

5. Market Knowledge: Develop an excellent understanding of the buyer/seller channels and market dynamics for each product sector to be able to implement targeted ‘Micro Marketing’ campaigns to specific sectors within each industry. Develop own relationships with key press, associations, clients, key influencers and decision-makers for each market sector.

6. Monitor competitive activity and all relevant media to keep up-to-date with the latest industry news, whilst having a strong understanding of competitors’ position in relation to Interiors products.

7. Public Relations: Ensure maximum synergy between marketing and PR communications through effective liaison with PR team, and external PR agency where appropriate.

8. Communication: Maximise communication and understanding of marketing activity/timings both internally (to event and publication teams) and externally (to exhibitors/advertisers) to promote high levels of buy-in and co-operative marketing.

9. Time Management: Follow/produce time and action plans for all marketing campaigns, outlining key tasks and deadlines for each element of the campaign.

10. Cost Control: Effectively manage the marketing budgets for each product to ensure delivery of all aspects of the required plan within budget. This includes extensive and accurate ongoing reporting on all relevant budget items versus actual spend, under the direction of the SMM and the relevant Event Director.

11. Market Research: Conduct and/or commission relevant market research for each product, as appropriate.

12. Features: Work closely with the Event Directors to develop and execute extra show content.

13. Key relationships: Establish strong working relationships with key industry figures, press, exhibitors and visitors fo the greater benefit of marketing campaigns and show content

14. New Media: Develop excellent understanding of new media marketing and ensure ongoing development of online offering for each product.

15. Projects: Undertake ad-hoc projects for the GMM as directed, and deputise in their absence when required.
